I-35 Expansion March 20 – November
The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is widening I-35 between 67th and 75th streets.
KDOT will close the southbound I-35 on- and off-ramps at 75th St. starting March 23. Traffic should detour to Shawnee Mission Parkway.
The northbound I-35 on-ramp at 75th St. will be closed mid-July through November, when KDOT anticipates the project will be complete.
Johnson Drive May – October
This project includes repaving the entire roadway, new curbs and sidewalks, new streetlights, and ADA compliant ramps. There will be partial lane closures throughout the entire project, which should be completed by mid-October, weather permitting.
Johnson Drive between Mackey Street and Kessler Lane will be resurfaced Sept. 13–21, weather permitting. Drivers should expect delays with intermittent lane closures and narrow lanes through the completion of the resurfacing process.
