Supply chain delays – due to the COVID-19 pandemic – continue to push back the Merriam Community Center opening.
The community center will now have a soft opening the week of July 20 with limited hours. We’ll be fully operational starting July 25. The indoor pool, which had more significant COVID-related delays, is scheduled to open Labor Day weekend.
This project is years in the making, and we want you to be impressed when you walk through the community center’s doors for the first time. And, while we anticipated opening the Merriam Community Center later this month, we promise – it’ll be worth the wait!
We’re still offering discounted rates for those who sign up to become a Merriam Community Center member by Labor Day, when we expect the indoor pool to open.
Sign up now to become a Charter Member. You can have access to the building beginning July 20 to use the community center’s other amenities, and your membership goes through Labor Day 2021. Don’t forget the free swag!
Monthly memberships will be reduced by 50% until the indoor pool is complete. The community center will open to all members on July 20.
Daily passes will be available beginning July 25 through Labor Day to Merriam residents only. Get inside the building and see all the amenities at one of our drop-in tours the week of July 13.
Merriam Parks and Recreation staff are now at City Hall to help process all memberships. Visit Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. to join.
