The City is offering free, large-item pickup for residents to dispose of items such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, and rugs.
Please place items by your curb before 7 a.m. on your scheduled pickup day. Public Works crews will start south and work their way north throughout the week.
The City won’t pick up trash, concrete, or tree branches. Make an appointment with Johnson County Household Hazardous Waste or call 913-715-6900 for assistance with paint cans, chemicals, tires, motor oil, brake fluid, gas/gas tanks, diesel fuel, pesticides, and other household hazardous waste.
Many items can be donated or recycled by different providers in the Kansas City area. Find where to take items at RecycleSpot.org.
Call the Public Works Department at 913-322-5570 with any questions.
